From Man Kaur to Dutee Chand: Female athletes making India proud at the moment

There are a lot of female athletes in India, who are really making the nation proud by winning medals in their respective game categories. Here let us have a look at 10 important female athletes that we should always be proud of –

1. Mirabai Chanu

Mirabai Chanu has won two weightlifting gold medals at he the EGAT Cup that was held in Thailand. She has increased the bar by 200 kg in the upcoming world championship.

2. Apurvi Chandela

Apurvi Chandela has attained the number one position in the 10 meter air rifle competition after winning 2 gold medals during teh ISSF world cup.

3. Manu Bhaker

Manu Bhaker won 2 gold medals at the ISSF world cup and along with Saurabh Chaudhary, the pair also claimed the gold medal in the shooting world cup that was held this year in New Delhi.

4. Man Kaur

The 103 year old shot put star, Man Kaur had won the gold medal at the World Masters and her next goal is to break the world record of 2.77m. America’s Julia Hockings currently holds the record.

5. PU Chitra
The young Indian sprinter made India proud by winning the gold medal at the 1500 meter event during the Asian Athletics Championship.

6. Anjum Moudgil

Anjum Moudgil won the gold medal in 10 meter air rifle mixed category along with Divyansh Singh at the ISS world cup. Later, she also got her second gold medal at the Masters shooting competition. She became the first woman who has won an Individual Air Rifle medal in a world championship at the senior level.

7. Puja Rani
Indian boxer Puja Rani really hurt her hand, but was not in a mood to give up. She came back home after clinching a gold medal at the Asian Championship held in Bangkok.

8. Hima Das

Hima Das is regarded as the golden girl of India and she is the gold medal winner in the 300 meter race held at Athleticky Mitink Reiter event in Czech Republic. She also got several other medals during her outing in Europe this season.

9. PV Sindhu
PV Sindhu is another Indian sports player who brought laurels to the country after winning her first gold at the BWF World Championships.

10. Mary Kom

Indian boxer Mary Kom is a six time world champion and she recently won a gold medal at the 23rd President’s Cup held in Indonesia.

11. PV Sindhu

She has just bagged her first gold at the BWF World Championships.

12. Dutee Chand

Dutee chand turned out to be the first Indian to bag gold at 30th Summer University games in Napoli, Italy.
